Information and Itinerary

The 18th PDRF Symposium: New Opportunities: New Approaches – looks forward to publishing in the 2020s, and will take place on the 15-17 October 2017 in the heart of Madrid.

We promise you a packed agenda, which will cover the challenges of digital advertising, including publisher brands in programmatic planning and building cross-platform engagement – alongside our regular programme highlighting developments in measuring and monetising publisher brands around the world.

The PDRF Steering Committee were delighted with the submissions this year and have selected 40 papers, from over 20 countries, to be delivered by industry leaders from media agencies and publishers. Keynote speakers will be announced, plus we plan a provocative advertiser and agency panel on the ‘Economics of Noisy Data’.

In addition, our biennial review of Audience Measurement Developments will give PDRF delegates an overview of over 100 audience measurement currencies around the world highlighting the main developments and trends.

Our sessions will be…..

Building audiences for profit
• The digital advertising ecosystem and its discontents
• Will readers pay for quality? Business models and business threats
• Monetising engagement

Measuring audiences efficiently: new tools and approaches
• Are passive census measures always better? New evidence on observed v. claims
• Adapting surveys for 21st century respondents (and budgets)
• Modelling audiences from divergent data sources
• Are online samples and panels sustainable?

Practical applications: smart uses of cross-platform data
• Tracking Consumers in the Digital Age
• Evolving approaches to cross-platform and cross-media measurement
• New insights into ROI

We very much hope you will join us for three days of inspiration, insight and debate: PDRF is known as the conference that generates ideas for delegates to take away and put into practice.

The Symposium will be held at the Westin Palace Hotel, in the very heart of Madrid (the Prado and Thyssen Bormitza museums are both only steps away). Following a modern makeover, the hotel offers perfect meeting facilities: we are able to contain every aspect of our event under one roof, including the Gala dinner. We are able to offer rooms booked through the Secretariat at exceptional prices: furthermore the rates are inclusive of breakfast and all taxes. (Spain charges 10% sales tax, which is usually on top of quoted rates.)
